A chamber music theatre work conceived and performed by Core Ensemble
This chamber music theatre work for singing actress and trio (cello, piano and percussion) is based on the lives of three legendary Latin American Women: Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, Salvadoran peasant activist Rufina Amaya, and Argentinean poet Alfonsina Storni. Text is by Marjorie Agosin. Music includes popular folk songs from Mexico, El Salvador and Argentina as well as Vocal and Instrumental Music by Astor Piazzolla, Carlos Gardel and Osvaldo Golijov.
This event is free and open to faculty, staff, students and the public. All are welcome!
